On February 3, 2021, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) enacted a new requirement on textile articles, Annex XVII to REACH, in which APEO substances are restricted. Since implementation, many brands and their suppliers have failed the requirement.
APEO is a substance of concern as it is toxic to fish and invertebrates and could be harmful for humans, however it is commonly found in textile products due to chemicals used in their production.
Join our technical experts in this webinar to learn how you can avoid APEO in your textile products to ensure regulatory compliance.
